The exciting "Olim beyahad – Bandelay Woodelay" annual meeting took place in October 2009 in the management club of Bank Hapoalim. "Olim Beyahad"'s and strategic partners: the Jewish agency, Bank Hapoalim and IDC Herzliya hosted several hundreds of the program friends: employers, donors and volunteers. Merit certificates were granted to program's  assisting friends: employers and volunteers and welcome speeches were given by the hosts. The jewels in the crown were the personal stories of the mentors, Mr. Aharon Fogel, Chairman of the board of Ness Inc. and Clal Inc. and Mr. Lior Horev, co-owner of Euro Tel Aviv advertising agency, the Israeli affiliate of Euro RSCG Worldwide. Kanubash Talele, B.Sc in Chemistry and Biology and a Teva laboratory worker, A participant of "Olim Together" 3rd cycle, moved the audience with her personal life story.

Greeting and vision, were presented by  "Olim Together– Bandelay Woodelay" board of trustees president, Mr. Zvi Ziv and the general manager of our partner, Bank Hapoalim, Mr. Zion Keinan.

 

 As always, sweat, joy and tears were the essence of the emotional greeting and "thank you" speeches of the talented and devoted managers of "Olim Together", Yifat Ovadia and Adva Hadar.

 

 third cycle

On the evening  of February 17 2010, the new graduates of "Olim Together" cycles, the 3rd cycle of university graduates and the 1st cycle of IDC Herzliya students, celebrated the finale of the annual program, producing an exciting event.

 

 

 

  

 

 

 Th The first “Olim Together”’s management course conducted and led by the Checkpoint company finished. In a recent activity last month, Ness managers hosted the participants of our management course at the company's headquarters, for an enrichment session, Th marked success of the course led to the opening of the next course in the near future. Our deep gratitude to Check Point management, especially to Mr, Ronen Keller.

We now have 120 active mentors, including 12 Ness managers who signed up as mentors! In June we held workshop for 20 new mentors. The workshop was run by Yifat Linder who volunteered to teach basic and professional tools for the beginning of a mentorship process. Cultural nuances were presented by Naftali Avraham who is a member of our board of directors.
Mentors and graduates of the first and second cycles .have been incorporated into the third cycle's enrichment & leadership program, upgrading and expanding it significantly!
 
Our 4th cycle final nominees are in the run for job placement. They are assisted by a large team of volunteers and "Olim Together devoted staff members.

An English course given by the professional and charming Owen Lewis takes place once a week at the Bank Hapoalim Learning Center for fifteen weeks. The class has twenty-five participants and a second group will be added soon.   We would like to thank the bank for generously hosting the group.

General Manager Statement

We Look around - at out work place, our bank. We check out our lawyer's office, our accountant's firm, and our children's schools – we cannot find a single Israeli of Ethiopian descent who works as a lawyer, an accountant, a teacher, engineer or an economist.  I know, I tried hard and couldn't find any. That is why Edva Hadar and I established the"Olim-Together" program.
